The long-term care centre is temporarily located in rented
premises in Otteri and currently houses 54 residents. The
centre operates similarly to Adaikalam, providing continuous
care, medication and engaging activities to its residents.
However, its urban setting and shortage of space do not quite
cater for its mostly rural residents, and the centre is due
to be moved to
Kovalam next year
to a more spacious, rural environment.
