| One to one sessions & group sessions - the social worker in charge sits with the resident to discuss her personal history, illness and family situation, and sets goals for rehabilitation that cater for the needs of the resident. |
| Resident at Growth Lab - The purpose of the Growth Lab is to encourage the resident to be independent: she should be able and willing to take medication regularly, look after herself, and be confident in social interaction. |
| 6-week review with psychiatrist - During pre-rehab work, the resident's psychiatric status is monitored closely. |
| OT Assessment - the occupational therapist makes an evaluation of the resident's level of independence, assessing her ability to be self-sufficient and to look after her own needs. |
| Links are made with existing NGO's and the police from the area of relocation and details are sent for verification - The address or information on landmarks is sent to the police for verification. |
| Meeting with the Rehabilitation Board takes place - the resident is presented to the Rehabilitation Board, which decides whether the resident is eligible to be relocated. |
| The team leaves with the resident for relocation trip - 5 or 6 residents from the same geographical area are grouped together and a team consisting of a social worker and health care workers escort the residents to their homes all over India. |
| Documentation procedures take place and medication for 3 months is handed over - documentation on the resident's past history and treatment are carried out, and medication for 2-3 months is handed over. |
| The team meet the family and give them psycho-education about the illness, medication, treatment, relapse and general awareness - the team inform the family on how the resident was found, the treatment given and the recovery, and advise the family on medication. |
| Links are made with local NGOs, local police, a local doctor, the headman of the area and other prominent members for follow up. |
| A report on the resident's relocation is submitted. |
